“in/ enter: blue” is a piece of experimental sound-poetry 煦 created during her COVID quarantine period in her childhood room.

It is composed with two intertwined poems ( in English, 房间里有海 “in the room there is a sea” in Chinese) and the sounds she foraged within her room (sampling including: water, glass, roadside noises overheard in the room, chair noise, voice recordings, scribbling noise etc.)

She is contemplating the possibility of reconstructing the abstract landscape of one’s perception of oneself when removed from any exchange with people and the world outside. It is an exploration of the space she remained within and occupied fully for a period of time, yet also of the “room” that occupies her, or that she herself embodies within her.

She marveled at this expansive space she found within herself during meditation or even just dreams while physically she was restrained to such a limited space (bedroom). This is an ekphrastic effort to reproduce that space: feeling or re-living the space, encoding the space, and eventually, leaving the space.
